What you will study
The curriculum, in depth
Eleven areas of study — each practised first, then learned as a teacher.
Study of asanas
Each posture practised for its purpose — alignment, detoxification, strength, rest and a calm mind.
Technique & practice of breathing
The foundation of yoga: deep breathing for circulation, digestion and detoxification.
Meditation
Deeper levels of concentration on the path toward Samadhi — the ultimate aim of yoga.
Mantra chanting
Sanskrit chanting to steady the mind and manage tension, practised daily.
Cleansing techniques
Yogic purification practices that keep the body strong, healthy and clear.
Postures, names & terminology
Learn each posture with its Sanskrit name and meaning — practice with understanding.
Sequencing & improvisation
Design and run an effective class — and adapt when the room demands it.
Human anatomy & physiology
The fundamentals that make yoga's therapeutic effects make sense.
Confidence through teaching practice
Teach real sessions during the course; confidence is a skill built with practice.
Daily schedule
7–8 hours of training, every day
A strict rhythm in compliance with Yoga Alliance standards — with fresh sattvic vegetarian food fuelling it: three meals daily, vegan and gluten-free catered.
Shatkarma (yogic cleansing) schedule
Daily schedule is subject to change at the faculty's discretion. Dress code: modest attire that honours the tradition — sleeved tops and full-length bottoms.
Certification
On completion you are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as RYT 200, the internationally recognised entry designation.
Students can additionally earn a Certificate in Yoga from HNB Garhwal University — a central government university of India — via our extension-centre program, at an additional cost.
Faculty & evaluation
6–7 resident teachers per batch across the eight limbs of the Patanjali Yogsutra, led by an E-RYT trainer — resident at the ashram throughout your course.
Evaluation: written and practical assessments, your conduct throughout the training, and a minimum 90% attendance. Meet the faculty
