Yoga Scholarship
Now and then a place in one of our yoga teacher training batches is still open close to the start date. When that happens, we may offer it as a scholarship to a student who has written to us and made a strong case. These places are rare and we cannot plan them, so please read this page before you apply.

Scholarships are rare
We do not run a scholarship intake, and we do not keep places aside for scholarships. Most batches have no scholarship place at all. When one does open, it is because the batch has room, and we usually know that only about two weeks before it starts.
-
Not a planned intake
There is no scholarship batch, no fixed number of places and no closing date. A place exists only when a batch has room to spare.
-
Decided batch by batch
We first look at how full a batch is, then at the applications we hold. Even a strong application may wait a long time, or never lead to an offer.
-
Please do not wait for one
If you are ready to train, book your place in the usual way. Waiting for a scholarship can mean missing the batch you really wanted.

How it works
-
Write to us
Send us a short email saying you would like to apply, which course you have in mind and the months you could travel.
-
Receive the application guide
We reply with a one page guide that sets out what your application must include, much as a university does for its scholarships.
-
Send your application
You write your reason for seeking a scholarship and an essay on the research that led you to our school, and email them to us.
-
Wait for a place
We keep your application on file. If a batch has room and your application is among the strongest, we contact you, usually about two weeks before the batch starts.
-
Confirm in writing
Before you travel, you sign a short agreement that lists what you will do for the school. Only then is your place held.
What we look for
How we choose
Three things decide whether we offer a scholarship. Only the last two are in your hands.
-
Out of your hands
Room in the batch
Without a spare place there is no scholarship, however good the application. This is why offers come late and without warning.
-
Your application
A clear reason
Tell us plainly why you are asking for a scholarship and what it would make possible for you. An honest, well argued reason counts for far more than a long one.
-
Your application
A well researched choice
Write an essay on the research you did before choosing us: the schools you compared, what you learned about our teachers and our way of teaching, what former students told you, and why this ashram is where you want to train.
Why your choice of school matters so much
A scholarship student takes on more than other students do. Someone who has looked hard at many schools and still chose ours is someone we can trust to keep the commitments below with real care, and to speak about us from conviction.
On our terms
What a scholarship place looks like
A scholarship place is offered on our terms. The discount comes with less choice and a quick start.
-
A percentage discount
A scholarship is a discount on the course fee. We set the percentage for each offer and confirm it in writing.
-
The room we have free
If we have a twin shared room free, the offer is for twin. If we have a private room free, it is for private. There is no choice of room.
-
Joining at short notice
You join the batch that has room, usually about two weeks after we contact you, so you need to be ready to travel quickly.

An exchange
What you agree to in return
You receive a place at a percentage discount. In return you do more than other students to help the next ones find us. You agree to all of this in writing before you travel.
-
Create content at the ashram
Share photos and short videos of your days with us on your own channels, and let us use them on ours. Each post carries a short note that you trained on a scholarship.
-
Record a video testimonial
Near the end of your course, speak on camera for a few minutes, in your own words, about your training and your time at the ashram.
-
Write an article for our blog
We give you a topic, and you write an article on it for our blog, in your own voice, after your course.
Everything you share stays honest and in your own words. We will never ask you to praise something you did not enjoy. Like every student, you are welcome to leave a review on Google or TripAdvisor after your course, but that is your free choice and never a condition of a scholarship.
Editor note · Platform reviews are invited, not required, as N decided on 17 Oct 2026 ($ryp_ys_require_reviews = false). Google and TripAdvisor do not allow reviews given in exchange for a discount. See README › Reviews.
